Requesting information please on how to carry out Family History Research for the 'Bernard McGuinness Family, of Garris Town'. The only information I have is on the Marriage Certificate of my paternal grandfather and grandmother. In October 1908 it is stated that Bernard McGuinness was deceased, and his Occupation was that of Farmer. My paternal grandfather was named John McGuinness and he was born in 1879, in Garristown. Witness to his marriage was an A. McGuinness, which I am presuming is a sibling of John McGuinness. Any help would be gratefully received!
